Devin Toatley has committed to Florida SouthWestern State College to continue his collegiate basketball career. Toatley brings dynamic scoring ability, playmaking, and leadership to the Buccaneers program. After starring at Bethel Academy, he established himself as one of the nation's top backcourt prospects with his ability to create offense, make winning plays, and compete against elite competition. His all-around skill set and competitive mentality position him to make an immediate impact at the junior college level while continuing to develop for the next stage of his career.
2025-26 (High School)
During the 2025 Grind Session, Toatley delivered a strong season performance, averaging 17 points, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds per game, showcasing his ability to consistently impact winning. A standout performance came during EPL Session 1, where he demonstrated his skill, composure, and scoring versatility in an impressive showing against the Phelps School—further solidifying his reputation as one of the nation’s top young guards. Devin Toatley was a nationally recognized rising star and one of the premier guards in high school basketball. Widely regarded as a top-26 point guard in the nation (per ESPN), the #1 recruit in Washington, D.C., and a Yahoo Rivals Top 100 player, Toatley has firmly established himself among the elite prospects in the Class of 2026. He emerged as one of the most promising young guards in the country. A standout at St. John’s College High School and currently attending Bethel Academy, he is known for his elite playmaking, dynamic scoring ability, and natural leadership on the court.
Personal
Toatley is from Washington, D.C., and is the son of Donald and Pomona Toatley. He comes from a close-knit family and has five siblings: Donovann, Mia, Lexi, Colin, and Jerica.
His hobbies include drawing, playing video games, reading the Bible, and making music. His favorite song is “My Turn” by Nino Paid. He enjoys watching the movie Toy Story and the TV series Stranger Things. Toatley is a fan of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
His pregame routine is centered on faith, as he likes to pray before he steps on the court. Toatley describes himself as undeniable and expects greatness from himself this season.
